PLA (polylactic acid) is a sustainable and compostable bioplastic derived from renewable resources such as corn and sugarcane. PLA is rigid and transparent and is ideal for cold beverage and fresh food packaging applications and presentation. Crystalized PLA (CPLA) is translucent and has a higher heat tolerance, making it perfect for hot cup lids, soup cup lids and cutlery.
